Electric Wheels announced as the exclusive UK Distributor of ‘The Nipper’!
The Nipper might be the smallest in our fleet, but it has definitely found its ‘big boy voice’ in the electric UTV market. This nimble and practical machine has received such an impressive welcoming that we’ve been granted exclusivity as UK distributor. Meaning we will once again be outgrowing our current premises… Move four is imminent!
MD Chris Hurdle explains: “This is an amazing confirmation that we are not only starting to be seen as a leader in our field, but also that we are providing our customers with the products they need as well as enjoy. We have signed a long-term deal with the factory covering the UK and Ireland and backed that up with significant forward orders which are now starting to arrive. We will be adding a network of sales partners in the coming months.”
Small, Mighty & Without Compromise
Chris test drove The Nipper back in spring 2020 when looking to expand the Electric Wheels’ product offering. “We’re massive advocates for our HiSun vehicles obviously, but The Nipper has opened potential even further. It’s given us the opportunity to reach clients within a new price bracket and most importantly without any compromise,” says Chris.
The demonstrator arrived April 2020 and in just two months another order was placed. Seven more machines were put to work in the hire fleet as part of an extended test. Now as larger orders arrive in the UK a high percentage of vehicles are already sold before they arrive! Even with the issues and bottle necks in the supply chain towards the back end of last year, customers were happy to wait. Luckily the wait is over and they’re now receiving their machines.
The First Large Delivery
Last week saw the arrival of the first large delivery of The Nippers since signing the deal. Sixteen in total. “The Nipper was originally only offered in blue,” Chris adds. “Now we’ve colour matched with the rest of the electric fleet so we can also offer customers The Nipper in green. A colour notoriously associated with sustainability, but also perfect for a little camouflage in the undergrowth where clients purchase due to their quiet nature.”
The next order is now on its way, fingers crossed the next 32 machines will be arriving at the end of February. So not long to wait. The order consists of 14 for sale and the remainder to add to the long-term hire fleet. “We’ve already reserved production slots at the factory for several more containers as the year progresses. The order includes a special addition to The Nipper portfolio which will add a new rather unique selling point,” says Chris. “This is still a little hush hush however and needs some specialist testing from our very experienced workshop engineers.”
The coming year is a big one for Electric Wheels. Such substantial orders mean we can easily meet the rapid increase in demand.
